Are You Ready For Father’s Day?

This Sunday is Father’s Day!

Looking for some inspiration for a Father’s Day Brunch?  Try one of these great ideas.

GF Eggs Benedict
Rather than putting Poached eggs on bread, try this low-carb and GF version by putting them on whole artichoke bottoms (available canned).  Simply slice off a tiny part of the bottom of the artichoke bottom so they sit flat on the plate.  (This step can be skipped by serving the Benedict in a bowl.)  Saute the artichoke briefly in butter or butter-alternative for added flavor.  Place a poached egg in each artichoke bottom and top with one of our gluten free hollandaise sauce packets.  For a dairy-free alternative, use our Victoria Vegan Artichoke Alfredo Sauce.  Serve with creamed spinach (1 package frozen spinach, drained, and sauteed with hollandaise sauce).  Add an option kick by throwing a few drops of a GF hot sauce into your hollandaise.
Seasonal Waffles 
Stop by and get one of our GF Pancake and Waffle mixes.  Follow instructions to make delicious GF waffles in a waffle iron.  Top with your favorite seasonal berries, powdered sugar, and maple or blueberry syrup.  For a lower sugar version, try replacing syrup and sugar with a Crofter’s Superfruit spread.  Like something with a little more savory flavor?  Try stirring in a dash of nutmeg or cloves into your batter before cooking.  Top with butter, honey, and sliced almonds.
